Sgt. Ben Crowley
Ben Crowley was injured while on combat patrol in Afghanistan when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off. The blast shattered both his legs, and his right leg had to be amputated. A long time Army Combat Engineer, Ben is now working for the Chevron Corporation, and putting his extensive construction and engineering experience to great use. Originally from Georgia, Ben moved to Danville, California, and lives in an apartment donated by Shapell Homes.
He spends most of his free time exploring Northern California. Photography and architecture are his two main hobbies.
